Permits are required for such things as building projects, rental properties, signage, heating appliances, demolition and fence construction.
Application forms for these permits are available for your convenience here on our website. Please click on the form you need, print, complete and bring to the Village Code Office at 343 West Main Street in Malone to be processed. Fees apply for each permit and must be paid at the time of permit approval. Your permit will then be reviewed by our Code Officers.
The Village of Malone Code Enforcement Office is here to carry out enforcement of community standards that have been established to perserve the health and safety of our residents. Enforcement though, is not just working on violations, but also customer service through answering questions, performing inspections and approving permits for various building activities. Our Code Enforcement Officer is also called upon to provide input based on their valuable experience and expertise to help the Village Mayor and Trustees develope new ordinances and code as needed.

We have adopted the Village of Malone Ordinances, Rules and Regulations (Code Book) to take into consideration the safety and well-being of the public. We seek to not only maintain our neighborhoods, but also enhance our neighborhoods and citizen's health, safety and general welfare through proactive and reactive Village code enforcement.
All action shall be conducted in a responsive and fair manner focusing on customer service and public awareness while respecting the property rights of our citizens.
